Surgery
Briarwood Animal Hospital has served the veterinary surgical needs for pets in the Jackson, Clinton, Brandon, and Madison areas for years. We are here for your precious pet as well. The surgeries performed at our hospital range from more common spay and neuters, to complex and extensive procedures. Our surgical protocols focus on safety, pain management, utilizing the most advanced surgical techniques and tools available in veterinary medicine.
Briarwood offers a state-of-the-art surgical suite equipped with innovative tools and equipment to monitor and care for your pet. Prior to surgery, our experienced veterinarians always recommend running blood work on your furry friend. Blood work can indicate issues that may not be seen by a simple physical exam, and it is important to know that anesthesia can be administered to your pet as safely as possible. During Briarwood’s pre-operative procedure, pain medication is administered to keep your pet as comfortable as possible during surgery. Before and after the procedure the attending veterinarian constantly monitors your pet’s vital signs, including heart rate and blood oxygen levels. At the conclusion of the treatment, your pet will be kept warm and monitored as they recover from the anesthesia.
The surgical experience of our veterinarians combined with our advanced technology and equipment means your pet is in good hands at Briarwood Animal Hospital. If your constant companion is in need of a surgical procedure, consult with our veterinarians by calling Briarwood at 601-956-5030.
